hatchet
- MT Trap clicking
This page is set up to describe what the MT needs to do in order to trap Hatchet during the event.
Important: Only the MT
is
doing the trapping, no one else is to click the trap.
event
information
The section marked below in RED, is what the MT will be handling.
During the event, Hatchet does various emotes which, if you do not follow, will result in AE's & DT's.
In addition, traps spawn in his room; in the two corners by Hatchet's stage, in the center, and in front of the ramp leading into the room.
After each "charge" emote, which Hatchet catches his breath, you have an opportunity to bring him over to the trap and click it to trap him.
Each time Hatchet is trapped, it allows the raid to DPS him down another 20%; four trappings in total are needed.
When Hatchet is trapped, he spawns adds.
trap
mechanic
In order to take Hatchet's health below certain percents, he must be trapped.
These percents are: 80%, 60%, 40%, and 20%.
An emote goes off prompting you when a trap is ready for use.
Hatchet must be moved onto the trap and it clicked in order to capture him.
After each successful capture, we're able to DPS him down an additional 20%.
Any failed captures results in the raid being hit with a short
ranged
AE.

trap
emotes
Periodically through the event, the raid will receive the following public emote:
'You hear the screech of rusted metal grinding against rusted metal, punctuated by a sharp *click*. A device has been activated.'
This means that there is a trap ready to be used.
Hatchet stance change emote:
'Hatchet
the
Torturer changes his stance. He is no longer stationary.'
Note: MT, this is your queue that you can now quickly move Hatchet onto the trap.
Successful trappings of Hatchet will emote:
'Hatchet the
Torturer roars in frustration and agony as the trap snaps down on his
leg! He buckles and collapse.'
during the battle
The MT will be responsible for watching for the public emote, and
keeping an eye on channels for where the next trap spawned. When
the emote appears that the trap is ready, the MT will pull Hatchet
over it and click the trap to capture him.
