GENERAL GUIDELINES

Our raiding format is simple, and it's easy to blend in if you follow these few restrictions:

  • No talking in /raidsay - This is to maintain some semblance of order.  This rule is enforced.

  • How to ask questions - All questions regarding the raid or event are to be asked in appropriate channels.  This is usually our FLRaids:raids channel, or ask in one of the assigned channels where the question may be more relevant.

  • How to ask for buffs - Always send tells for buffs, or if the buffs are of a class currently within your group, ask there.  Never send the raidleader a tell for buffs please.

  • If you have to AFK, just let the "FLRaids" channel know.  Try to avoid AFK's when we're moving, that way you won't get left behind.  There's no need to send the raidleader a tell everytime you AFK.

raid authority

Open raiding is a group effort.  To help things run smooth, we have several people help with various aspects of the raid, be it behind the scenes or event specific etc.  We are not against anyone adding comments/suggestions about strats or a particular part of the event etc.  We just need it to be said in any other channel besides /raidsay to avoid confusion.

Those listed below are exempt from the "No talking in /raidsay" rule above.

Raid Authority Members

This list is maintained via the forum guideline post here.

Exploiters, Hacks, and plooters, oh joy!

We are vehemently against all forms of hacks, exploits, 3rd party programs etc.  It's not tolerated in any regard what so ever.  I've turned away people from raids, and told them right out that they're not welcome here as they're known exploiters/plooters.  We don't have to prove our case against anyone.  By denying these people entry to our raids, it helps ensure a level playing field for us all.

We're trying to build a respectable force of individuals who want to progress and help others.  These two goals alone don't mesh with exploiters/plooters.  Their goals are simple, to cheat at any costs, quit EQ and PA their characters for money in RL.  I could go on for pages about how much these people annoy me, but I won't.

Needless to say, we have deny lists, I enforce them.  I don't feel bad about it in any way.  Aiding these individuals in their EQ development in any form would degrade us all.
